Collection: Ontario Walleye Lures
Ontario Walleye Lures — Proven on Ontario's Best Walleye Waters
Walleye are Ontario's most sought-after table fish and one of the province's most popular sport fish. From Lake Erie and Lake Simcoe to the Trent-Severn Waterway, the Ottawa River, and countless northern Ontario lakes, walleye are found across the province in huge numbers. At Stickylures, we build lures and rigs designed to catch walleye in Ontario's varied conditions — from shallow weedy bays to deep, current-swept river channels.
Top Ontario Walleye Destinations
Lake Erie is one of the most productive walleye fisheries in the world, drawing anglers from across Canada and the US. Lake Simcoe, the Trent-Severn Waterway, Lake Nipissing, and the French River are also premier walleye destinations. Our lures are designed to perform in all of these environments — from trolling open water to jigging rocky structure.
Walleye Behaviour and Presentation Tips
Walleye are light-sensitive and most active at dawn, dusk, and after dark. They relate strongly to structure — points, humps, weed edges, and current breaks. Slower, more subtle presentations often outperform aggressive retrieves, especially in clear water. Our weighted rigs and spoons are designed to be fished slowly and naturally, matching the forage walleye key in on throughout the season.
Seasonal Walleye Fishing in Ontario
Spring (May–June): Post-spawn walleye feed heavily in shallow water. Target river mouths, rocky shoals, and weed flats. Summer (July–August): Fish move deeper during the day; focus on structure at 15–30 feet. Fall (September–November): Walleye stage near deep structure and feed aggressively before ice-up.
